NOTICE OF ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING WEDNESDAY 27 NOVEMBER 2024

All members are advised that the Board has called the Annual General Meeting to be held on Wednesday 27 November 2024 at Netball SA at 7pm for 7.15pm start.

Nominations for election – due by 13 November 2024

The Board invites members to nominate candidates for election to the Board. Nominations are open for the position of Vice-president (2 year term), Treasurer (2 year term), 2 x General Members (2 year term), 1 x General Member (1 year term) will be filled at the Annual General Meeting.

Nomination forms (to be completed by the person nominating a candidate, and by the candidate themselves) are available on the Club website. Nominations must be sent to the Club Secretary, secretary@garville.com.au.

Recommendations for nomination of a Life Member – due by 13 November 2024

The Board invites members to recommend candidates who have shown long-standing or meritorious service to the Club for the position of Life Member of the Club. Criteria for life membership are contained in clause 7.12 of the Constitution, which is available on the Club website. Recommendations must be sent to the President by email at president@garville.com.au.

Special business motions – due by 13 November 2024

Any member wishing to submit a motion for inclusion as special business at the Annual General Meeting may do so by submitting a notice of motion to the Club Secretary. Notice of motion forms are available on the Club website. Notices of motion must be sent to the Club Secretary, secretary@garville.com.au.

2. Present and Apologies

3. Adoption of Minutes of 2023 AGM

4. Reports of President, Treasurer, Auditor and Head Coach

5. Election of Directors

6. Nominations for Life Membership

7. Special or other business.

A quorum for the Annual General Meeting will be 15 members, present in person or by proxy. The Club permits proxies subject to the requirements of the Constitution. Voting forms will be made available on the Club website. Written reports and minutes of the last AGM will be made available on the Club website.
