Elite Coaches Pathway

At Garville our aim is to re-establish our reign as “THE GREAT GREY”s once more in South Australian Netball. Our coaches are encouraged to follow our Elite Coaches Pathway which establishes coaching for our players at the highest possible level. We have appointed Michelle den Dekker OAM former Australian Captain and an Advanced Level Coach as our Garville Coaching Director for 2011 / 2012.

We provide our coaches with

  • Monthly Coach the Coach sessions facilitated by our Coaching Director.
  • Garville New Coaching Manual (Includes all relevant Coaching resources)
  • Coaching Accreditation Courses run through our club in conjunction with Netball SA.
  • Direct liaison and monitoring of programs.
  • “Stars” Coaching recognition Program
  • Mentoring Program.

Training and Games

Garville Netball Club trains at the SAUCNA netball courts, the courts are located in the south-west Parklands between Greenhill Rd, Anzac Hwy and Goodwood Rd.

Training for the AMND teams are on a Wednesday evening and games are played at ETSA Park, Mile End on Saturdays.

The 2012 season will start on the 14th April for the Senior and Intermediate teams and on the 5th May for all other grades, Grand Finals are being held on the 15th September.

There are two byes during the season, one on the long weekend in June, and the second one on the middle weekend of July school holidays

Play By The Rules

To complete the Play By The Rules online training course, go to Play by the Rules then click on the menu item “Online training”. Complete the “Click here to register for online training”, then select the course “Discrimination and Harassment Courses – Coaches”.
